History
Elias Marcusson, most familiar as Princeps Iuventutis Siril Dairamik, was born in the 595th year of the Minilsuzyan calendar. His mother is Empress Nelina, his father Emperor Marcus IV and he was born in the capital of Old Varana. Though described as a ruthless leader, Princeps is known for his brilliant, methodical political tactics, having grown up at the center of Varanite power and been exposed to the finest training by the finest minds in the empire. He is also rumored to be much less adverse to changes than other Varanite nobles, even going so far as to utilize followers of banned gods in his plans against Canas.
Arrival at the Dasarian Province
Princep's first appearance in the Dasarian province was in the year of 635, at a Council of War held by his mother, Empress Nelina, in Cear. In the attempt at the Empress' life, he heroically protected his mother by promptly slaying the undead assassin and arranging her escape. In the same council, Nelina proclaimed Princeps as her lieutenant-general against the undead forces.
As Praetor General of the 10th Legion
Princeps was highly successful as Praetor-General of the 10th Legion, driving back Canas' forces from Lendose and arranging the destruction of Pellaithil Phazzan, one of Canas' Lieutenants. While resting in Cear, he used his authority to form the Argentum Vigilo as a Knightly Order to protect where the empire cannot. Later, he left for the front to continue prosecuting the war.
While on the front, it is rumored that he was either severely injured and captured or killed by Zuman, one of the Lieutenants of Canas.
Rumors
There are rumors concerning Princep's choice of allies with questionable deities as their patron, and even claims of their presence out on the battlefield against the undead. These rumors are disregarded with incredulity by Imperial forces and anyone seen spreading them will be dealt with harshly. Despite that, these rumors persist.
